What's new with the Maximtac IR-940 Gen 2? Memory function - the lamp turns on in the same level that was selected before switching off. Round light spot - better suited for the field of view of a riflescope. No grid effect at full focus. Level 1 power adjusted to 50% power (the predecessor had 30% which was hardly usable).
