Technology and Development

Through collaboration with Zeiss, a technology has been developed that enhances eye fitness and makes it possible to maintain this over extended periods. This goal is pursued by using filters that do not create a distorted image that the eye must constantly compensate for. Raytracing refers to the optimization of the lenses based on frame tilt angles, front tilt angles, and curves, promising nearly distortion-free vision even at the edges of the lenses. The Pilla-Zeiss lenses are designed to provide the right amount of light under various lighting conditions while maximizing color registration, allowing the eye to remain relaxed and efficient. The faster and clearer registration of certain colors gives them a competitive advantage.

Pilla Performance Eyewear collaborates with top athletes to develop frame geometries that are fully tailored to shooting, archery, action shooting, equestrian sports, and aviation. Performance requirements, weight, balance, and wearing comfort are taken into account. Hypoallergenic materials such as carbon fiber, titanium, Italian acetate, and special rubber blends are used for the eyewear frames.
