Beyond the precision of the rifles, a constant has been the wooden stocks, which remain very popular among hunters even with the advent of new materials. Accordingly, there is also the successor model to the Sauer 404 rifle in versions with various wooden stocks. The ErgoLux stock in wood class 4 and with an adjustable comb, combined with the 505 action made of solid steel and a cold-hammered barrel, makes the Sauer 505 ErgoLux a hunting rifle that impresses all around.

The Stock
The sophisticated shape of the ErgoLux wooden stock significantly compensates for felt recoil and provides the rifle with great stability, regardless of the shooting position you adopt. You can adjust the stock to your personal physical needs when aiming and shooting using the height-adjustable comb. The cheek piece has been further optimized compared to previous versions, making your contact with the rifle even more organic. In conjunction with the ergonomic pistol grip, you will feel one with your Sauer 505 ErgoLux when taking the shot. The stock length is 36.5 cm. The walnut wooden stock of wood class 4 is also compatible with the predecessor model Sauer 404.

The Steel Action
The solid steel action allows for quiet cycling due to reduced friction losses and a smooth chambering. The surfaces of the action are effectively protected against corrosion through plasma nitriding.

The Manual Safety
The manual safety is both comfortable and secure. In the Sauer 505 model, it has undergone further development compared to predecessor models, both in terms of usability and safety. An extension of the cocking travel requires even less effort. With a light thumb pressure, you can cock your rifle just before the shot, and just as easily release it afterward to unload.

The Trigger
The Sauer 505 features a Quattro trigger with four weight settings. This allows the trigger to break cleanly, and you have exactly the individually suitable trigger weight. Settings of 350 g, 750 g, 1,000 g, and 1,250 g are possible. The adjustment is made with the Sauer universal key when the fore-end is removed. A precisely adjusted trigger prevents jerking during the shot and missing the target.

The Barrel
The Sauer 505 ErgoLux bolt-action rifle is equipped with a cold-hammered barrel. This allows for highly precise shots. The muzzle diameter is 17 mm, and the muzzle is fitted with an M15x1 thread for a suppressor. It has a smooth profile, and its length varies between 47 cm and 62 cm depending on the caliber choice. The barrel of the Sauer 505, like its other steel surfaces, is effectively protected against corrosion through plasma nitriding. The barrel is, like the stock, compatible with the Sauer 404, allowing you to use it with your old rifle and the new 505 rifle.
