Equipped with a 42 mm objective lens, a precise Class 1 laser, and the world-leading Applied Ballistics® software, it enables precise long shots under all conditions. The pre-installed, world-leading Applied Ballistics® Ultralight software version calculates the most accurate ballistic values for up to 800 meters. The upgrade version Applied Ballistics® Elite, on the other hand, extends to the maximum measured distance of 2,950 meters. All ballistic correction data is displayed immediately after measurement directly on the display of the Leica Geovid Pro 10x42. Best observation quality The Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 offers the best optical performance, such as high transmission values, excellent and natural color reproduction, and strong contrasts. The 42 mm objective lenses and patented Perger-Porro prisms deliver outstanding image quality, best color fidelity, and exceptional brightness – even under the most difficult conditions. Tracking Assistant for easy target guidance All Geovid Pro models feature a built-in compass in addition to the rangefinder. In conjunction with the ballistic calculator, all models can determine geographic positions in the field as GPS coordinates. The last five measured distances are automatically saved and can be retrieved for target guidance. This means that the tracking function LPTTM (Leica ProTrack) can display any previously measured point on the display of a connected mobile phone, making shot tracking easier for long-distance shots or in mountainous terrain. Navigation is then done via Google Maps or the BaseMap app. With the compass needle or through a terrain map, the hunter is reliably guided to the point of impact. Dr. Ernst Leitz was not only a photographer but also a passionate hunter. Thus, after the first Binocle 6x18, many other completely new developments quickly followed. In 1956, the wide-angle binocular Amplivid was released with a field of view of 212 meters at 1000 meters – today a popular collector's item. Two years later, the first Trinovid went into series production. These binoculars had a slim design, featured internal focusing, and were waterproof. The binoculars division repeatedly set milestones. After the development of many hunting and military glasses, the use of a monocular based on a weight-reduced Trinovid during the moon landing of Apollo 11 in 1969 was both an honor and confirmation for Leitz. After three generations of Trinovid glasses, the Ultravid series was developed in 2003. For the high-definition (HD) glasses, glass that is particularly complex to process is used. Color errors are minimized, and the image becomes even more color-true and brilliant. However, the actual revolution of Leica binoculars was the combination of optics and electronics. A binocular that can do even more than "just" observe perfectly would have been a dream for the hunter Dr. Leitz. With the start of development work for the Geovid series, this dream came within reach. But there was nothing comparable worldwide, and so the Leica engineers had to bravely venture into completely new territory. The goal was a binocular that should be able to determine the distance to the target at the push of a button. Dr. Leitz's dream of accurate distance measurement was indeed realized generations later through the Geovid binoculars. This was about 30 years ago. The still large Geovid binoculars BD were followed by the monoculars of the LRF series. The further developed Geovid BRF models and the HD versions, as well as the CRF monoculars, represent perfected constructions for hunting practice, under adverse lighting conditions as well as for stalking and mountain and foreign hunting.
