Thanks to the revolutionary Safe-Action system, the firing pin is pre-tensioned by the slide's cycling motion. The remaining tensioning and firing of the shot occurs during the pull of the trigger. This results in a constant trigger weight from the first to the last shot with high handling safety.

The grip is made of particularly durable plastic that is 86% lighter than steel.

All metal parts are coated with a matte black, extremely corrosion-resistant Tenifer coating.

The Glock 17 is the first development from Glock – already in use since 1982 by Austrian authorities (P 80) and a few years later also very successfully as the civilian model 17 worldwide. Robust, reliable, and with excellent precision, it guarantees good results in any situation.
