The Savage 25 Walking Varminter features a 56 cm long, black, free-floating, carbon steel precision barrel. Optimal heat dissipation is achieved through the button-rifled and perfectly centered barrel, which improves precision and rigidity. The barrel has different muzzle thread sizes depending on the caliber, allowing for the attachment of a muzzle brake, muzzle flash suppressor, or silencer. The famous AccuTrigger system from Savage Arms allows for even more precise long-range shooting, as the shooter has the flexibility to adjust the trigger to their preferences and needs. A scope can be easily mounted on the 2 standard Weaver bases. 2 lugs lock the stainless steel system, and the 2-position safety is very easy to operate. The newly developed bolt has 3 lugs, which allow for a bolt lift of 60°, ensuring a short but quick ejection. The oversized bolt handle, which can also be operated safely with gloves, allows for rapid cycling. This repeater has a removable 3-4 round box magazine. The fore-end is equipped with grip grooves. A rifle sling can be mounted on the 2 sling swivel studs provided. The whole package is rounded off with a black rubber butt pad.
