Thanks to the revolutionary Safe-Action system, the firing pin is pre-tensioned by the slide's cycling motion. The remaining tensioning and firing of the shot occurs when the trigger is pulled. This results in a constant trigger weight from the first to the last shot with high handling safety. The grip is made of particularly durable plastic that is 86% lighter than steel. All metal parts are coated with a matte black, extremely corrosion-resistant Tenifer coating.

Glock 19. To meet the requirements of authorities and special units, the Glock 17 has been shortened by a few millimeters and reduced in weight by about 50g. These measures make it more comfortable to handle.
