Developed by William Anson and John Deeley:

In 1862, the "doll' head" was developed as a novel locking mechanism for break-action firearms. The barrel rail ends in a hemispherical extension that finds its counterpart in a corresponding recess in the action box. The locking was done via a bolt that engaged in the doll's head.
Finally, in 1897, the "hand detachable lock" (referred to as "drop lock" in America) was introduced as the final development stage of the box lock. The box locks can be manually removed after folding back the lock plate. This construction allowed for the box locks to be exchanged with just a few movements in the event of broken lock springs.

The weapon can be inspected at our premises before purchase by appointment during our business hours.

§ 1 Articles requiring a permit

When purchasing items for which a government permit is required, we ask you to send us the originals (e.g., firearms ownership card, hunting license) by registered mail.
These documents will be returned to you immediately. If this is not possible, an officially certified copy or transcript will suffice, except for the purchase of handguns, where we must have the original firearms ownership card with pre-entry.
The date of certification must not be more than 10 days old.

New firearms law effective from 1.9.2020:
From 1.9.2020, every gun owner, dealer, and manufacturer needs new unique numbers for their permit, their person, and for each of their weapons.
§ A purchase, sale, and repair will no longer be possible without these numbers.
Please bring the numbers with you on every visit with your weapon.
Please contact your authority and have these numbers issued to you.
You will need them for every movement in the future.
Have your authority print out a data sheet with all numbers for each firearms ownership card.
Composition of the NWR-ID:
The NWR-ID consists of a 21-character combination of letters and numbers.
The first letter describes the type of NWR-ID
P = natural person or F = legal entity (company)
E = permit
W = weapon or T = weapon part (essential parts)

Blank-firing guns are subject to the firearms law.
Before shipping these items, we require proof of age and your confirmation of the obligation to inform.

§ 2 Shipping

Non-permit-required items are shipped within Germany for €6.90, well-packaged and insured with DHL.
Due to legal regulations, the shipping of ammunition is done according to ADR hazardous goods regulations via freight forwarding. Ammunition up to 10 kg is shipped with Overnite as hazardous goods for €35.

Due to legal requirements, the shipping of firearms is only possible via the specialized parcel service "Overnite." The weapon may only be received by the actual recipient and will only be handed over to them. The recipient's eligibility must be proven to the courier by photo ID. Delivery is only possible during regular business hours and only once. In case of unsuccessful delivery, the weapon must be returned immediately to Waffen-Landmesser due to interim storage prohibitions. The costs for this are to be borne by the customer. We charge €39 per package for the corresponding shipping costs. All other deliveries are free to the receiving station. Delivery fees or roll charges are the responsibility of the recipient. In case of visible damage, please contact the deliverer immediately.

Notice of participation in the return system of Landbell AG

Regarding the sales packaging that we first filled with goods and delivered to private end consumers, our company has joined the nationwide return system of Landbell AG, Mainz, to ensure compliance with our legal obligations under § 6 VerpackV. § 3 International deliveries

International deliveries to EU countries are generally made against advance payment, the amount of which you should inquire with us. Invoicing is done in EURO including German VAT. All shipping costs will be charged. Delivery is at the expense and risk of the recipient. If the shipment is to be insured, please let us know. The expenses and export documents are borne by the buyer. Items subject to the firearms law will not be delivered abroad unless the necessary export documents are available. Unfortunately, delivery to third countries and Switzerland is not possible.

§ 4 Delivery by cash on delivery

Firearms, ammunition, and also commercial goods cannot be shipped by cash on delivery.

§ 5 Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, has taken possession of the goods.

by means of a clear statement (e.g., a letter sent by post, fax, or email) about your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the attached model withdrawal form for this purpose, but it is not mandatory.

To maintain the withdrawal period, it is sufficient for you to send the notification about the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse you for all payments we have received from you, including delivery costs (except for the additional costs resulting from your choice of a different type of delivery than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received the notification of your withdrawal from this contract. For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement. We may withhold the reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have provided evidence that you have returned the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You must return the goods immediately and in any case no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the fourteen-day period has expired.
We will bear the costs of returning the goods.
You only have to pay for any diminished value of the goods if this diminished value is due to handling of the goods that was not necessary for checking their nature, characteristics, and functioning.

§ 6 Payment receipts/return receipts
Please keep all receipts – cash on delivery redemptions, transfers, invoices, and shipping papers, as they are a valuable aid in returns, complaints, or warranty claims.

§ 7 Data storage

All data we learn from you, e.g., name, address, date of birth, hunting license, firearms ownership card, will be collected by us in accordance with the EU GDPR and used only in permissible ways.

§ 8 Warranty and guarantee conditions/receipts

The statutory warranty rights apply. The currently valid statutory warranty period is 24 months. If a longer manufacturer's warranty is specified in our offers, it applies according to the warranty conditions attached to the goods. Please keep all receipts - warranty certificates, invoices - carefully, as they are a valuable aid in warranty claims.

Consumer information according to Regulation (EU) No. 524/2013: For the out-of-court settlement of consumer law disputes, the European Commission has set up a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR). § 10 Final provisions

Should any provision of these General Terms and Conditions be invalid, the contract shall remain valid in all other respects. Instead of the invalid provision, the relevant statutory provisions shall apply.
