The newly designed Mauser HSr is a further development of the legendary Mauser HSc and is manufactured in Germany as a solid all-metal firearm using the latest production methods. The designation HSr traditionally stands for "Hammer cocked Rimfire pistol." The designers of this pistol took new approaches and used the basic design of the globally known SIG® P232. From this model, the designers adopted the decocking lever function as well as the disassembly function to separate the slide from the frame. The manual side wing safety then shows a familiar Mauser HSc design element again.
