The Barrel
The "A.I." in the model designation stands for "Advanced Impact" and refers to the chokes and the newly developed barrel profile from Benelli, which ensures high ballistic accuracy. The Benelli Advanced Impact System is characterized by a newly calculated internal barrel profile, optimized bores, and adapted chokes, resulting in a particularly homogeneous and faster shot pattern. This increases target energy and penetration, which is advantageous both for hunting with soft lead shot and for clay pigeon shooting. Channel measurements show that shot patterns with the Advanced Impact AI System are on average 17 m/s faster than comparable barrels from other manufacturers.

Ergonomics and Handling
The stock of the Benelli 828 S A.I. Black Over-and-Under Shotgun is equipped with the Progressive Comfort System. This system dampens recoil by absorbing its energy. The ventilated sight rail made of carbon fiber allows the overall weight of the gun to be kept at around 2.7 to 3 kg, depending on barrel length. The shaping of the stock and pistol grip ensures handling in a natural body position without causing cramping. The locking plate of the locking system secures the barrel base perfectly, keeping the shooting pressure in the base and reducing the load on the rotating bolts. The steel lock of the 828 S A.I. Black has a long service life and reduces the mechanical stress on the receiver.

The Design
