The sword of the Elven King from -The Hobbit- was one of two twin swords crafted by the best smiths of the Woodland Realm for Thranduil. The blade and the flowing handle were forged from a single piece and adorned with engraved vine and leaf symbols representing the forests of Mirkwood.
