Astra 600/43 AKAH Pistol Case

Astra 600/43 AKAH original pistol bag. Rare original government pistol bag from the early 1950s. Made by the German manufacturer AKAH for German authorities such as BGS, state police, and customs. The company AKAH had already been producing pistol bags for the German military and authorities in the 1930s and 40s. The German Wehrmacht received about 10,000 Astra 600 pistols from a contract for 50,000 with the Spanish manufacturer Astra until 1944. Then the Allies stopped the deliveries. To meet the increased demand for the initial equipment of German authorities and police units, the remaining Astra 600 pistols from this early contract were procured starting in 1951. The company AKAH began producing the pistol bags for German authorities from the early 1950s onwards. The pistol bag originates from this early post-war production. Original stamp/inscription between the belt loops on the back with the AKAH trademark: "Crossed rifles in a wreath below AKAH". Bag with flap made from a single piece of leather, belt loops, closure strap, and magazine pouch sewn on. Belt width up to 5 cm. Dark brown leather bag neatly crafted, with minor signs of use, seams and leather otherwise very well preserved.
