Ergonomics
The gunsmiths at Sauer have kept functionality in mind when designing the SL5 XT Optifade shotgun. The bolt lock, loading lever, and other controls have been enlarged, allowing you to place your shot without restrictions even during winter hunting when you are wearing gloves. The stock, with its grippy soft-touch texture, benefits from the synthetic insert at the cheek for a quick aim. The trigger is a direct trigger with excellent characteristics, and the trigger guard is made of polymer. The shotgun can also be easily disassembled for maintenance.

Robust and precise in hunting
All surfaces of the SL5 XT Optifade are completely protected from corrosion by coatings. The inside of the barrel is hard chrome plated. You can choose between a barrel length of 70 and 76 cm. The shotgun features an inertia loading system, where the kinetic energy of the recoil drives the loading process. This way, no gas pressure is lost, and maximum energy is retained. You always have control over whether the weapon is cocked and ready to fire. The 7 mm wide ventilated sight rail with the contrasting luminous front sight ensures high accuracy. Included are 5 interchangeable chokes to modify the shooting characteristics, so you are well prepared for any hunting situation.
