The SystemThe Safe-Bolt System (SBS) locks the chamber with four lugs in a special locking socket integrated into the system housing. Additionally, a safety wheel on the stock neck serves as a chamber lock. Besides the traditional "Fire" and "Safe" positions, there is a third position where pressing the chamber handle against the stock next to the trigger also blocks the firing pin. The ergonomically shaped chamber handle glides smoothly in its path. Equipped with a direct trigger combined with an adjustable set trigger, the CL II SX is a repeating rifle that combines safety and optimal shooting behavior.The StockThe SX stocks from Steyr Mannlicher combine ergonomic design with maximum durability. The grippy polymer inserts on the fore-end and pistol grip ensure safe handling of the repeating rifle even under the most adverse conditions. The full aluminum bedding and latest plastics make the SX models robust weapons with maximum torsional rigidity.The BarrelThe cold-hammered and O.B.P. (optimized Barrel profile) optimized barrel promises consistently good hit results. Its externally twisted structure integrates very well into the appealing overall appearance of the CL II SX. Like all non-polished metal surfaces on the rifle, the barrel is also finished with the in-house matte black "Mannox" bluing.
