The MP9/TP9 introduced by B&T in 2001 meets the requirements of military and law enforcement agencies worldwide that need a sub-compact, shoulder-supported 9mm support weapon. Its lightweight, compact size, folding stock, and rounded edges make the MP-9 an excellent choice for law enforcement and military personnel who require a support weapon for the protection of politicians or VIPs, for regular patrols, for special forces, vehicle crews, air forces, or for general use.

It is a lightweight, compact, ambidextrous, and easy-to-handle weapon that can be fired with the readily available 9mm standard cartridge. Eighty percent of the entire weapon is made of polymers. This is why the total weight is only an astonishing 1.4 kg. In fact, three fully loaded 30-round magazines weigh more than the entire weapon.

The weapon also features a holster carrying system for thigh or belt carry. This allows the user to utilize other equipment such as ballistic shields, access devices, dogs, or medical gear.
