Going hunting at night is a special challenge for every hunter. The important sense of sight is severely limited, and the risk of missing the target or making a wrong decision is therefore high. However, night and twilight play an important role for the hunter, especially when it comes to wild boar.
That's why it's time to get a handle on the night – thanks to the ZEISS DTI 3/35: The outstanding thermal imaging camera with an intuitive ErgoControl operating concept enables safe identification. It has been developed for both left- and right-handed users. The ergonomic shape of the device allows for a natural posture where the fingertips rest comfortably on the controls. This enables long and fatigue-free observation. To avoid having to concentrate additionally on operating the night optics, ZEISS has developed the ErgoControl operating concept: With the intelligent positioning of the buttons, every function can be intuitively controlled. The optimally shaped controls can be quickly grasped in darkness and cold. Thanks to the high-resolution HD-LCOS display, you can see the exact difference between a boar and a sow. The detailed images are particularly important for safe identification – even in complete darkness. Nature behaves quite differently in the dark than in daylight. This allows for fascinating observations that are so unique that one wants to save and share them. Through the ZEISS Hunting App, which you have downloaded on your phone, you can transfer data from the thermal imaging camera directly to your smartphone via WLAN/WiFi.
The fine, stepwise adjustment of the zoom in 0.5 increments allows for the right combination of magnification and detail recognition. This way, even smaller details of the observed animals can be quickly identified, which is necessary for safe identification in the dark. A carrying strap is included, which is attached at two connection points like a pair of binoculars. Therefore, you can calmly and quietly hand over the device to reach for your weapon. Likewise, you can take the device back into your hand without looking, as it is securely placed around your neck and does not dangle uncontrollably.
The thermal imaging camera features 4 color palettes to choose from. Black hot and White Hot provide high-contrast images, and these settings are particularly suitable for discovering, recognizing, and identifying. The Red Hot color mode allows for quick detection of heat signatures, especially in densely vegetated areas. The Rainbow color tone is suitable for recognizing smaller temperature differences. The frame rate of 50Hz indicates how often the monitor redraws the screen per second. A higher frame rate results in reduced flickering on the screen, relieving your eyes. The Picture-in-Picture (PIP) function offers a simultaneous view of the zoomed-in image section over the original image. This helps you keep the animal in sight even with sudden movements. In Hot Tracking mode, the warmest signature in the image is framed with a red square. This makes finding and tracking in dense areas easier.
