iC Illumination Control - Focus on the essentials
If the Blaser R8 repeating rifle is equipped with an iC cocking lever, the reticle of all Blaser riflescope models is automatically activated when the cocking lever is pushed forward into the ready-to-fire position (older Blaser R8 models can be easily retrofitted with the iC cocking lever).
A sensor in the riflescope detects the position of the cocking lever and automatically controls the activation and deactivation of the reticle. To prepare for the shot, only one hand movement is needed: unlocking (cocking the action) the weapon. The intensity of the reticle always corresponds to the last set strength. This setting is conveniently made using the adjustment wheel located on the right side of the riflescope.
Thanks to this perfect interplay between rifle and riflescope, you gain time and thus the necessary calm for a safe shot. When using Blaser riflescopes on rifles without an iC cocking lever, the reticle is manually activated by pulling out the adjustment wheel on the right.
To achieve the longest possible battery life, the reticle automatically switches off as soon as the weapon is placed in a very steep to vertical or lying position. When the weapon is brought back into position, the reticle activates automatically.
