The motif is based on a Japanese legend. The dragon is a symbol of strength and luck. In the Tenryu Katana from Toshiro Swords, everything is subordinate to the dragon motif. A dragon is carved into the scabbard, the fittings have dragon motifs, and even on the blade itself, a dragon is engraved. The blade is a Shinogi Zukuri blade made of 1095 steel with clay tempering. It is sharp and has a hardness of 60 HRC at the edge. The sword is designed for cutting exercises with tatami mats and bamboo. The scabbard features elaborate carvings. It is painted black. The handle is made of solid wood, with real same and a grip wrap made of synthetic fiber. The wide tang is securely held in the handle with 2 mekugi wooden pegs.
