Hornady International 8x57 IS 180GR ECX 20 cartridges
The new Hornady ECX bullet (Extreme Copper Alloy eXpanding) is one of the most advanced monolithic lead-free and fragment-free bullets, specifically designed for the European hunter. Its optimized design offers a high level of precision from a variety of old and new firearms, in the commonly used cartridge chambers and barrel dimensions as well as twist rates in this country.
The monolithic, fragment-free bullet made from a copper alloy (Tombak) has been designed to deliver very good penetration with high retained weight and exit probability, even with bone impacts. Its flat plastic tip ensures reliable expansion of the bullet, even at lower velocities. Innovative relief grooves of the ECX bullet improve aerodynamic performance while simultaneously reducing barrel fouling.
