Hornady basic equipment OAL measuring device for repeaters and single loaders
To use the Lock-N-Load® O.A.L. gauge, you need a modified case (sold separately) that fits into the chamber of your firearm and is screwed onto the gauge. These specially prepared, modified cases are threaded at the case head and have a case neck enlarged by .002" to accommodate the same bullets you want to load. This is crucial, as the measurements obtained with the Lock-N-Load® O.A.L. gauge are accurate to .001". Such results cannot be achieved with competing products that use a simulated bullet of any shape.
