With the Bullet Comparator, you can measure the cartridge lengths from the base to the nominal diameter at the ogive using a caliper. This is more meaningful and also more repeatable than measuring to the bullet tip. The parts for the caliper are supplied as a base unit. The inserts must be ordered separately.
