Federal hunting ammunition in caliber .45/70 Government. The Hammer Down is loaded with a 300grs bonded bullet with a lead core. It retains a high residual weight upon deformation. The load has been adapted to the usual barrel lengths of lever-action rifles.

The bonded bullet Terminal Ascent is a modern bullet for medium to large game with a high B.C. value. Relief grooves, polymer tip in a deep cavity, and boattail are additional features. The Terminal Ascent deforms very reliably even at long distances. The cases and bullets are nickel-plated.
