Quantum Optical System

VX-3HD riflescopes are manufactured according to Leupold's Quantum Optical System. Precision-ground, lead-free lenses are carefully selected; they receive the Xtended Twilight coating and are then positioned in optimal relation to each other to achieve the highest degree of light transmission and optical excellence. The outer lens surfaces receive the DiamondCoat 2 multi-coating. It exceeds military standards in terms of hardness and durability and supports light transmission to create a brighter and more contrasted image.

Leupold's second generation of water sealing

In the construction, a new gas mixture of Argon and Krypton is used for the waterproof sealing. The molecules of these gases are significantly larger than those of nitrogen. The diffusion of gases in the riflescope is thus significantly reduced compared to nitrogen filling.
