The .45 Auto Rim has a particularly thick rim that allows it to be used in revolvers designed for the combination of .45 Auto and moon clip without a moon clip. It was developed with the same robustness as our .45 Colt case construction.

THIS CASE DOES NOT WORK IN SINGLE-SHOT REVOLVERS FOR .45 AUTO (such as the Ruger Blackhawk with .45 Auto cylinder) OR IN DOUBLE-SHOT REVOLVERS DESIGNED FOR .45 COLT AND .45 AUTO IN THE SAME CYLINDER (AS WELL AS THE RUGER REDHAWK OR S&W GOVERNOR).
