The VX®-5 was designed from the ground up to deliver the highest image quality across the entire field of view and the full magnification range. Lead and arsenic-free glass lenses

Leupold waterproofing of the 2nd generation

Leupold paved the way for the waterproofing that is now considered the industry standard for optical products. The scopes were filled with nitrogen, preventing fogging and moisture ingress. To raise the bar even further, the VX-5 scopes utilize the benefits of 2nd generation waterproofing through an Argon/Krypton gas mixture. The combination of these gases effectively resists temperature fluctuations and prevents long-term diffusion from the interior of the riflescope. Waterproofing is guaranteed.
