Starline Cases 7.65 French long 100 pieces
The 7.65 French long was originally developed in the United States as .30 Pedersen to be used in the Pedersen device. This device was intended to convert the 1903 Springfield quickly into a recoil-operated semi-automatic rifle with a higher magazine capacity and to increase firepower when needed. With the intention of deploying the Pedersen device in World War I, production was halted as the war ended before any of the devices saw action on the battlefield. With the war over and no need for the surplus Pedersen devices, almost all were ordered to be destroyed.

Years later, the French were looking for a new sidearm, and the Pistol 1935A fit the concept. The Pistols 1935A and 1935S, as well as the submachine gun MAS Model 38, were developed for the .30 Pedersen, which was now renamed to 7.65 long. This .30 caliber cartridge is significantly more powerful than the .32 ACP and can fire projectiles weighing up to 100 grains.
