The 9mm Super Comp (9x23) has been given a new design and a new headstamp since July 7, 2003. The headstamp has been changed to 9x23 Comp to allow for easier identification, as it looked too similar to the headstamp of the .38 Super Comp. At the same time, the interior design has been slightly modified to allow for the seating of heavier bullets (e.g., 147 grains), but this change in no way affects the performance of the case when using lighter bullets.
