The Otis Technology Pro+ AR-15 Lock Block is designed to make removing and installing barrels and even handguards faster while allowing you to effortlessly loosen tightly fitted barrel nuts. Held in a standard bench vise, the AR-15 Lock Block is inserted into the barrel extension and secures it to prevent twisting and minimize the chance of damage. Apply as much force as needed to your project; the AR Lock Block will assist you. The torque is applied to the barrel extension instead of the aluminum upper for a stronger, more secure grip. To accommodate the differences in internal receiver specifications on the market, the AR-15 Lock Block is equipped with a bronze bushing that allows the tool to work with slightly smaller internal specifications. The AR-15 Lock Block is designed for mil-spec receivers and works with most ARs. Made from 1018 steel and coated with manganese phosphate, it stands up to the task and then some. To use, simply insert the tool into a standard bench vise at your desired working angle and slide the upper and barrel onto the AR-15 Lock Block. The tool then engages the locking lugs of the barrel extension to relieve tension on the receiver and position it on the extension.
