The internal dimensions of the swivel are 21 x 4.5 mm. The width for the screw head is 8 mm in the closed position, and the diameter of the retaining pin is 3.5 mm. 1. Turn the knurled screw to the left until it stops. 2. Now press the knurled screw in the direction of the arrow (see image) and 3. open the sling swivel. To close, press the knurled nut again, push down the arm, and turn the knurled nut to the right until it runs freely. Always pay attention to how the retaining pin is integrated in detachable sling swivels. I have marked this spot in the image with an arrow. If it is only inserted and visibly riveted, usually just a punch mark, it is better to stay away from it. I had a rifle sling with such sling swivels in the test. The pin had come loose and pushed outward. Only by chance was I able to prevent a "crash" of my drilling.
