How does Hoppe's Bore Snake cleaning cord work?
Hoppe's Boresnake combines three cleaning functions in one cleaning pass.
First, the end weighted with a small brass weight is threaded through the barrel to then simply pull the cleaning cord through, done!
The first part of the cord immediately removes the large residues. The second part is a high-quality bronze wire brush that loosens stubborn residues. In the last section of the Bore-Snake cleaning cord, the loosened residues are thoroughly cleared out. After just one or two passes, the barrel is thoroughly cleaned. Hoppe's No. 9 Solvent or Hoppe's Oil can be applied to the BoreSnake for lubricating the barrel during cleaning. The Boresnake cleaning cord is washable (hand wash or in a laundry bag also in the washing machine) and thus reusable after heavy soiling.
