The double-core projectile consists of two lead cores of different hardness and a projectile jacket made of tombak. To separate the softer front core, the harder rear core received an additional tough tombak jacket. The core weight ratio is 50:50. A rear groove located in the back of the projectile reliably connects the rear core with the outer jacket. A second groove in the front area forms the cutting edge (cutting hair) and simultaneously serves as a predetermined breaking point for the front projectile jacket. An important point for the tearing off of the otherwise obstructive projectile flags. This construction creates a straight shot channel for the important safe exit.
