This is a Merkel combination 201E, Cal. 12/70-7x65R with interchangeable barrel as an over-and-under shotgun in a leather case. The firearm is a used weapon, proofed in 1969 and in top condition. The combination features oak leaf engravings on the action, as well as a left-side engraving of a red deer with an old stag and right-side game birds (3 pheasants). The beautifully grained walnut stock is straight and has a German cheek piece with small oak leaf inlays on the fore-end and buttstock. Both barrels fit snugly (as expected from Merkel) into the action, which is locked with a box lock. The 2 signal pins indicate the cocking status of the two locks. It is a self-cocking lock, which is triggered by gilded triggers. The front trigger has a French set trigger. The over-and-under barrel has an ejector - all barrels are bright.
