The system and barrel of the M12 Grey Max are high-quality blued, providing no point of attack for rust. 6 lugs in the chamber lock directly in the barrel, enhancing its precision. Additionally, this allows for a small opening angle of 60 degrees, which guarantees quick cycling. The textured chamber handle ball also contributes to this. The Mauser-typical open loading window offers the possibility to quickly load a cartridge from above in critical situations. The brilliantly dry direct trigger with a trigger weight of 950 g enables highly precise shooting results. The M12 is equipped with a 3-position manual safety. In the relaxed state, it allows for loading and unloading the rifle. It also offers a position where the chamber is secured against accidental opening. The robust magazine made of high-quality polymer holds 5+1 rounds in medium caliber or offers a 4-round capacity in magnum caliber.

Trigger and Safety – Absolute Safety with Precise Control The dry direct trigger of the Mauser M12 Grey Max reliably breaks at a trigger weight of about 950 g. This ensures precise and intuitive shot release as well as an exact hit pattern, even with consecutive shots. The manual safety is ergonomically positioned on the bolt and operates smoothly and almost silently. The safety system of the Mauser repeater rifle M12 is based on the secured firing pin nut. The M12 Grey Max is equipped with a 3-position wing safety. The safety lever only releases the firing pin nut just before the shot is fired or secures it again. When cycling, the M12 remains cocked or is recocked. In the secured position, the chamber stem is simultaneously locked against unintentional opening of the chamber when handling the weapon.
