The 687 Silver Pigeon 5 with its slim action is an elegant evolution of the Silver Pigeon 1, characterized by the proven side lock, double locking bolts, and trapezoidal stock pieces. The buttstock, action, barrels, and forend are perfectly coordinated, ensuring pleasant handling and a perfectly balanced swing behavior.

Action and Lock
The over-and-under shotgun is adorned with the finest floral engravings on the sides of the action, complemented by the stylized Beretta logo on the underside. The action is effectively protected against weather influences by the special Beretta nickel-based treatment, ensuring that the engravings retain their contrasting shine. Decades of experience from the Italian gunsmiths are evident in the extremely stable and reliable side lock of the shotgun, as well as in the Beretta-typical trapezoidal stock pieces and the conical double locking bolts. The extremely reliable and robust ejector system is the proven system of the 680 series, which has been successful for over 30 years in more than three million shotguns sold to date.

Barrel and Sight
The triple-alloyed Steelium Optima-Bore HP barrels made of Beretta steel are characterized by extremely precise deep drilling, cold hammering, and vacuum finishing, providing excellent ballistics. The barrel geometry with an 80 mm transition cone is specifically designed for optimal gas pressure flow, resulting in high density and even distribution of shot while significantly reducing felt recoil. The hunting models also feature a 6 mm wide rib that allows for extremely precise target acquisition both on the shooting range and during hunting, ensuring minimal coverage of the target.

Stock
The unique grain of the selected walnut stocks is highlighted by a silky gloss finish that also provides optimal protection against moisture. Additionally, the finely cut checkering on the forend and pistol grip ensures a special grip and safety. The switch is integrated into the safety slider on the stock neck. By moving the slider sideways, the barrel for the first shot can be selected.
