System box and INTERIA DRIVEN® recoil loading systemThe system box of the Affinity is made from a high-strength aluminum alloy. The shape of the receiver elegantly conforms to the lines of the entire self-loading shotgun. The Inertia recoil loading system impresses with reliability and functional minimalism. It consists of only three parts (bolt body, inertia spring, and bolt head) and is therefore very stable and durable. No residue or gas enters the low-maintenance system, which does not allow malfunctions due to dirt. The steel bolt head locks in the barrel, which is also made of high-quality steel. This steel-to-steel connection ensures that the bolt locks extremely reliably. At the same time, the lower mass of the system parts allows for a very fast loading process. The recoil spring is mounted in the fore-end around the magazine tube and is also easy to clean. The Inertia system provides excellent balance, significantly less muzzle rise, and reduces recoil.Trigger & SafetyThe safety on the Affinity from Franchi is located on the trigger guard in front of the trigger and is disengaged by pressing from right to left with the trigger finger, or secured in the opposite direction. A red outline, which is only visible when the safety is disengaged, provides an additional visual signal. The trigger is designed so that it can be operated even while wearing gloves.Barrel and StockThe barrel is coated with a particularly durable and non-reflective Cerakote finish and is manufactured with a length of 71 cm. It is equipped with an 8 mm wide ventilated sight rail that carries a fiberglass front sight. The top of the rail is finely guilloched. The delivery includes 3 interchangeable MC choke inserts. The stock of the self-loading shotgun Affinity is made of high-strength plastic. The fore-end with the internal tube magazine is particularly slim and lightweight, as it does not require space for a gas pressure loading system. Due to the slim design of the stock, the shooter's hand is very close to the sight line, promising exceptional maneuverability. At the end of the tube magazine, there is a closure cap that can be easily unscrewed. The magazine capacity is 4 + 1 rounds, and a magazine extension for 2 additional cartridges is available for an extra charge. By removing the closure cap, the Affinity can be easily disassembled and cleaned without any hassle. The drop and cast can be adjusted by inserting different spacers between the buttstock and the system box. Thus, the stock can also be easily adjusted for right- or left-handed shooters. The stock is finished with a TSA stock cap: The extra thick "Twin Shock Absorber" recoil pads reduce felt recoil by 50%. The significant reduction in recoil provides the necessary shooting comfort to fully concentrate on the target and impact. Optionally, the TSA stock cap can be supplied in 2 additional lengths.
