The design of the R8 Ultimate Silence is entirely focused on protecting the hearing of the hunter and hunting dog. Handmade in Germany, the ergonomically optimized hole stock made of high-quality synthetic material convinces with the completely relaxed position of the shooting hand and arm, and nearly perfectly prevents the annoying "mucking". The stock is, as with all other R8 models, divided into a rear and front stock and visually adapts perfectly to the black anodized Blaser R8 system housing. The highlight: the stock and system are prepared for the attachment of a Blaser integral suppressor, which significantly reduces the gunshot noise with a damping performance of 28 dB. Thanks to the evenly distributed mass along the entire barrel, the R8 Silence offers the familiar, first-class balance and handling that characterizes every R8 model. The outer contour of the barrel and suppressor jacket is designed in a stepless "Bull-Barrel" design, giving the R8 Silence both low weight and an exceptionally attractive overall appearance.

The stock is exclusively manufactured for right-handed shooters with black elastomer inlays on the pistol grip, fore-end, and cheek piece. Optionally, specially impregnated leather grip inlays are offered. The hole stock ensures a completely relaxed position of the shooting hand and arm in all shooting positions – lying, freehand, or supported. The shooter's accuracy is immediately increased, and shooting errors such as the annoying "mucking" are nearly completely prevented. The carbon stock is particularly durable and at the same time a real lightweight, which is especially advantageous during extensive stalking and in the mountains.

The Blaser R8 Ultimate equipment options allow the shooter to customize the weapon even better to their individual needs and preferences. Among other things, an adjustable butt plate can be retrofitted. The height adjustment of the stock significantly improves the sighting behavior in the scope. The contact with the stock allows for a repeatably precise, clean position, which is a prerequisite for a safe hit. With the help of the adjustable butt pad, the shooter can individually adjust the length of the stock to their body measurements. Additionally, the repeater rifle can be retrofitted with a damping system according to preference. The recoil damping system can be adjusted in terms of damping level.

The Blaser straight-pull repeater system allows for lightning-fast shot sequences while maintaining a relaxed body position without putting down the weapon. The shooter's eye and the barrel of the weapon remain focused on the target. The time gained in target acquisition leads to a more secure shot release.

The manual safety system is considered one of the best safety systems. No other mechanical safety can provide the security of a relaxed firing pin spring. The R8 is intentionally cocked only before the shot: the cocking slider is pushed forward. If the shot does not occur, a light pressure on the cocking slider is sufficient to let it slide back and relax the system. At the same time, the weapon cannot be unintentionally opened, as the chamber handle is blocked when the bolt is relaxed and locked. If the magazine including trigger unit is not in the weapon, the R8 cannot be cocked, as the cocking slider does not engage. The weapon is thus secure from unauthorized use.

The magazine change is quick and easy: a short press on the two release buttons ideally positioned above the trigger, and the magazine jumps directly into the hand due to spring force. However, the magazine buttons can also be locked by a slider located in the magazine, preventing the magazine from being unintentionally removed.

The excellent trigger characteristics of the Blaser direct trigger with only 700 g trigger weight provide the perfect prerequisite for a precise shot. Optionally, the Blaser Atzl trigger system is offered: the trigger weight can be adjusted to either 200 g or 600 g. Retrofitting is possible at the factory. The "Fortis 6" scopes from the manufacturer Leica combine puristic design with outstanding durability and top quality.

The Blaser 2.8-20x50 IC is the optimal solution for all hunters who rely on an all-round scope. The magnification range from 2.8x to 20x and the light-strong objective diameter of 50mm qualify the scope for hunting in the forest or on open fields, as well as for stalking. Due to its compact and robust design and very large range, the 2.8-20x50 IC is also more than suitable for hunting in the mountains. The Blaser scopes are robustly built and coated with durable hard anodizing, making them insensitive to the typical external influences of hunting.
