Many hunters in mixed low and high game areas appreciate the possibility of having two different calibers in one weapon. The smaller barrel is housed in a carrier tube and can be precisely adjusted to the larger one. The Blaser Bergstutzen BS 97 offers the advantage of its reliable technology with two locks, allowing a second shot to be fired very quickly without re-cocking in case of need. The system is extremely easy to operate and ergonomically designed.

Trigger and Lock The Blaser Bergstutzen BS 97 features a double trigger system with two locks. The long gun is carried relaxed and is only cocked immediately before the shot. Thanks to the double trigger system with two locks, the weapon remains cocked on the second barrel after breaking the first shot. This allows for a second shot to be fired very quickly without re-cocking if necessary. The System 97 is therefore particularly useful for the hunter who frequently wants to take advantage of the opportunity for quick doubles. The front trigger generally operates the lower barrel, while the rear trigger operates the upper barrel. The direct triggers release with incredible delicacy, making a set trigger unnecessary. When opening the lock or operating the lock lever, the lock automatically relaxes, providing an additional factor for maximum safety alongside the manual cocking system.

Barrel and Action Box Thanks to the exposed barrels, the point of impact remains consistently precise even with follow-up shots and regardless of the previously fired barrel. Each barrel can freely oscillate and expand. It remains unaffected in its point of impact by the other barrel. Thanks to the thoughtful technology that has characterized Blaser for decades, adjustment by qualified personnel is easily ensured. The step to a different caliber or model is simple and cost-effective. Within the B 97 line, the type of weapon can also be changed with the barrel bundle: The over-and-under shotgun becomes a Bergstutzen, the over-and-under rifle becomes an over-and-under shotgun or Bergstutzen, and vice versa. Additionally, the barrel bundle is equipped with an open standard sight. The steel-gray anodized action box features intricately crafted game engravings on the sides and is finished with subtle arabesque engravings. The elegantly depicted scene of roe deer on the left side and the attractively presented wild boar in its natural habitat are unmatched. The shape of the action box harmonizes with the line of the entire over-and-under shotgun, creating an elegant symbiosis between classic and modern design.

Stock The BS 97 features a very appealing stock made of wood class 4. A Bavarian cheek piece is integrated into the buttstock. The stock back is pleasantly ergonomic. The very pronounced pistol grip additionally ensures a good hold and ends with a flat black cap. The pistol grip and forend are equipped with finely crafted checkering, ensuring an optimal, firm grip in any weather condition. Furthermore, the stock is equipped with sling swivel solutions. The low weight of 3.4 kg of the Bergstutzen completes the technical and functional advantages of this long gun.
