Blaser R8 Intuition Semi Weight

The stock of the Blaser R8 Intuition Semi-Weight hunting rifle features a specially adapted 35 cm long Monte Carlo shaped buttstock designed for female hunters. Additionally, the heavy Semi-Weight barrels enhance swing behavior and inherent precision.

The pistol grip is also ergonomically tailored to the size of petite women's hands. The steeper angle of the pistol grip allows for comfortable trigger operation and a better grip feel. The high comb ensures better contact between the cheek and stock. The elegant walnut stock from wood classes 4 or 7 is divided into a rear and front stock, allowing the matte black system housing with the golden R8 inscription to stand out elegantly. The noble impression is rounded off by a black forend cap. The buttstock is equipped with a recoil pad and adorned with a stainless steel band. The extra-soft comfort recoil pad offers excellent recoil reduction and gliding properties. In combination with the shorter stock length, the Blaser R8 Intuition allows for a smooth mounting and a relaxed arm position.

The Blaser Semi-Weight barrels are approximately 300 g heavier than the standard interchangeable barrels. This makes the repeating rifle more front-heavy and improves its swing. Additionally, the inherent precision of the barrel increases, and the recoil of the repeating rifle is reduced.

The Blaser straight-pull repeating system enables lightning-fast shot sequences while maintaining a relaxed body posture, without having to set the weapon down. This keeps the shooter's eye and the barrel of the weapon continuously focused on the target. The time gained in target acquisition leads to a more secure shot release.

The manual safety system is considered one of the best safety systems. No other mechanical safety can provide the security of a relaxed firing pin spring. The R8 is deliberately cocked just before the shot by pushing the cocking slider forward. To relax the system, a light pressure on the cocking slider is sufficient, and it glides back. At the same time, the weapon cannot be unintentionally opened, as the chamber handle is blocked when the bolt is relaxed and locked. If the magazine, including the trigger unit, is not in the weapon, the R8 cannot be cocked and is thus safe from unauthorized use.

The magazine change is quick and easy with a short press on the two release buttons, which are ideally located above the trigger. The magazine buttons can be locked, preventing any unintentional removal of the magazine.

The excellent trigger characteristics of the Blaser direct trigger with only 700 g trigger weight are the perfect prerequisite for a precise shot. Optionally, the Blaser Atzl trigger system is offered: The trigger weight can be adjusted to either 200 g or 600 g. Retrofitting is possible at the factory.

The modular Blaser principle: Every Blaser R8 repeating rifle is freely configurable. There are countless equipment variants that can be individually combined. The Blaser R8 barrels and chambers are cold forged, making them perfectly concentric. They are characterized by high precision and durability. The barrels have a DLC A+ coating (Diamond Like Carbon). This type of coating, which uses carbon that has the hardness of a diamond, is very environmentally friendly and biocompatible compared to galvanic coatings. Through a thin-film coating process, the surfaces of the barrels achieve a high degree of hardness and become particularly resistant to mechanical damage and corrosion, as well as very smooth. This reduces maintenance effort and gives the barrel its noble, satin matte, deep black appearance. The rifle barrels are manufactured in the standard barrel contour with a muzzle profile of 19 mm in barrel lengths: 42 cm, 47 cm, 52 cm, 58 cm, 65 cm, both with and without sights. Optionally, the barrels are delivered with a barrel thread M 15x1.

The selection of barrels is enormous, allowing one to hunt any game species on any continent with a Blaser R8. The Blaser R8 systems and stocks can be individually combined with various barrel types in different calibers. Only when changing the caliber group is it necessary to replace the bolt head on the bolt. The Blaser R8 barrels in the Semi-Weight barrel profile are available in different barrel lengths depending on the calibers: 52, 58 cm, 65 cm. Additionally, the barrels are manufactured with and without barrel thread M 17x1 (optionally M 15x1). There is also the choice of whether the barrel is delivered with or without sights.
