The System
The system of the M18 is made of steel, as has been proven millions of times with the M98. A three-lug bolt locks the chamber. This has allowed the opening angle of the chamber to be reduced to 60 degrees, ensuring the fastest cycling operations. The textured cone-shaped bolt handle provides a very good grip feel when cycling. A double-column 10+1 magazine delivers sufficient firepower, even during longer shooting series at the range. A Picatinny rail with a 20MOA inclination is standardly mounted on the system. This allows for even more shots, as if the scope were mounted on a straight rail.

Trigger and Safety
The trigger weight of the direct trigger can be adjusted to personal preferences. The safety can be operated silently. It acts directly on the trigger sear and has three positions. This allows the bolt to be opened even in the safe position. Thus, safe unloading and loading of the weapon is guaranteed, even in a cocked state.

The Stock
The hard-anodized precision chassis made of aluminum from MDT, named ORYX, accommodates the M18 system. Green and black in color, it is designed so that the barrel can always oscillate freely. The comb is infinitely adjustable, and the butt pad can be adjusted in length using a spacer kit. The ergonomically shaped pistol grip is designed for a perfect fit for the shooting hand. A bipod adapter on the fore-end, and quickly removable sling swivels at the front and rear, are pre-mounted. A ground spike can be mounted on a Picatinny rail at the lower end of the buttstock.

The Barrel
With a diameter of 22 mm at the muzzle and a particularly large cross-section, the match barrel of the M18 LR prevents rapid overheating. This offers advantages, especially during longer shooting series at the range. With a length of 62 cm, the full performance spectrum of the cartridge is utilized to be effective at long distances. Due to its weight, the rifle lies extremely steady in the shoulder.
