Blaser R8 Closure Left

With the help of the Blaser R8 straight-pull bolt in left-hand configuration, left-handed shooters can also easily operate the Blaser R8 repeating rifles.
The casings are also ejected to the left and do not obstruct the shooter’s view. The bolt consists of a bolt carrier and a bolt head and is fired with up to 8000 bar! The extremely strong, uniformly supporting radial locking bolt locks directly in the barrel – without any rotational movement. The manual cocking safety system is considered one of the best safety systems. No other mechanical safety can provide the security of a relaxed firing pin spring. The R8 is deliberately and immediately cocked before the shot by simply pushing the cocking slider forward. To relax the system again, a light pressure on the cocking slider is sufficient – and it glides back. At the same time, the weapon cannot be unintentionally opened, as the chamber handle is blocked when the bolt is relaxed and locked. To unlock it, a light tap on the cocking slider and simultaneous withdrawal of the chamber handle is sufficient. The rifle is not cocked during this process.
The chamber head can be exchanged depending on the respective caliber group, that is, the caliber used. Blaser distinguishes between different caliber groups: .22 LR, Mini, Standard, Medium, and Magnum.
So, for example, if you switch from a standard caliber to a medium or magnum caliber, you only need to change the chamber head on the Blaser R8 and not the entire bolt. If you stay within a caliber group during the caliber change, you only need to change the barrel. There are also special bolts and chambers for left-handed shooters.
With the various bolt variants, each Blaser R8 repeating rifle can be configured individually. There is also the possibility, for example, to combine a right-handed stock with a left-handed bolt. The bolts are usually black blued just like the chamber head. The chamber handle ball is available in synthetic black. However, Blaser offers many different options to customize the bolt. For example, optionally, titanium-nitrided (gold-colored) chambers or steel chamber handle balls decorated with fish skin are offered.
