The craftsmanship of the Mauser M18 is uncompromisingly solid. Extremely robustly built, it is considered a tool for real hunting practitioners. The ultra-stable polymer stock, the steel-made system, and the cold-hammered barrel promise reliability across the board. Simple and unembellished: a rifle for everyone at any time.
The SystemThe system of the M18 is made of steel, as proven millions of times with the M98. A three-lug bolt locks the chamber. This has allowed the opening angle of the chamber to be reduced to 60 degrees. This guarantees the fastest cycling operations. A double-column 5+1 magazine for standard calibers and 4+1 for magnum calibers provides sufficient firepower. If that is not enough, one can order a new 10+1 magazine and is thus well-equipped for any driven hunt.
Trigger and SafetyThe trigger weight of the direct trigger can be adjusted to personal preferences. The safety can be operated silently. It acts directly on the trigger sear and has three positions. This allows the bolt to be opened even in the safe position. Thus, safe unloading and loading of the weapon, even in a cocked state, is guaranteed.
The StockThe ultra-robust polymer stock with soft grip inlays is lightweight and easy to handle. The inlays on the ergonomic pistol grip and forend are soft and particularly pleasant to grip. They also provide very good hold even in wet conditions. A special feature is hidden behind the stock cap. Here, there is a storage compartment for, e.g., a cleaning cord.
The BarrelThe barrel is cold-hammered and is excellently precise. Optionally, the M18 can be configured in various barrel lengths. Standard caliber 56 cm, optionally 51 cm, and magnum caliber in 62 cm, optionally 56 cm. A muzzle thread in M 15x1, e.g., for a suppressor, is available as an option.
