The most important requirement for a silencer in hunting use is to effectively dampen the muzzle blast to protect the hearing of both dogs and humans. The ERA®-Silencer was therefore developed with the goal of achieving the best possible suppression while maintaining a compact design and minimal weight, all while ensuring long durability and suitability for magnum calibers.
The silencers of the SOB series are designed as Over-Barrel models. A part of the silencer extends backward over the barrel, resulting in very good suppression values of up to 32 decibels with a short net length. Recoil and muzzle flash are also significantly reduced. The elaborate construction from aluminum alloys, along with a scratch-resistant and corrosion-resistant surface coating according to military standards, guarantees very long durability. Thus, the ERA®-Silencer offers numerous advantages and is excellently equipped to withstand the rigors of everyday hunting use over the long term.
