The combination gun has always been considered the ideal hunting weapon. With the BD14, Blaser now brings a combination gun to the market that features free-floating barrels and a manual safety, representing the latest in modern technology.
With this combination, the sitting hunter is prepared for anything: hare, fox, boar, raccoon, doe and fawn, dove or marten. The combination gun has therefore always rightly been regarded as the ideal hunting weapon. With the BD14, Blaser now introduces a combination gun that, with its free-floating barrels and manual safety, is at the forefront of modern technology. The designation "ideal hunting weapon" is justifiably claimed by the combination gun produced in Germany.

Trigger and Lock
The new Blaser combination gun features a double trigger system with 2 locks. The front trigger is solely responsible for the large caliber, while the rear trigger is for the small caliber and the shotgun barrel. The selector switch is a small pin located to the right of the trigger group. When pressed down, the small caliber is selected; when pushed up, the shotgun barrel is selected. The position of the selector switch is ergonomically optimal, allowing the process of switching to become automatic through muscle memory. The innovative double lock system enables the shooter to fire the second shot without re-cocking while standing. The direct triggers release dry with incredible values of 700 g (front) and 750 g (rear). When opening the lock or operating the lock lever, both locks automatically relax, providing an additional factor for maximum safety alongside the manual safety system. The innovative vertical block lock has been newly designed specifically for the BD14. It combines an extremely compact, stable block locking mechanism in a closed system within the barrel hook with the comfortable operability of classic break-action firearms. Thanks to the vertical locking, it is ensured that the lock can be reliably closed even with cartridges that slide heavily into the chamber. The lock block is easy and quick to remove and can thus be stored separately from the weapon. An additional safety feature to protect against unauthorized use.

Barrel and Receiver
Thanks to the exposed barrels, the point of impact remains consistently precise even with rapid follow-up shots and regardless of the previously fired barrel. Thanks to the thoughtful technology that has characterized Blaser for decades, adjusting the two rifle barrels to each other using easily operable adjustment elements is no longer a complicated task. Furthermore, all sliding surfaces that contribute to thermal stability are hard-chromed and thus permanently protected against corrosion. This type of barrel adjustment ensures the best possible constant point of impact. Additionally, the barrels are equipped with an open stalking sight. Thus, the BD 14 is also suitable as a stalking companion. The steel-gray anodized receiver harmonizes with the overall design of the combination gun and creates an elegant symbiosis between classic and modern design.

Stock
The BD14 features a very appealing stock made of wood class 3. A Bavarian cheek piece is integrated into the buttstock. The stock back is nearly straight. The very pronounced pistol grip additionally provides good hold and ends with a black flat cap. The buttstock is finished with a high-quality rubber cap that reduces the impact of recoil on the shoulder and allows the combination gun to be set down quietly and securely. The pistol grip and forend are adorned with finely crafted checkering, ensuring an optimal, firm grip in any weather condition. Furthermore, the stock is equipped with sling swivel solutions. The low weight of 3.3 kg of the combination gun completes the technical and functional advantages of this long gun.
