Blaser exchange barrel R8 semi-weight fluted

The Blaser Semi-Weight barrels are approximately 300 g heavier than the standard interchangeable barrels.
This makes the repeating rifle more front-heavy and improves its oscillation. Additionally, the inherent precision of the barrel increases, and the recoil of the repeating rifle is reduced.

The fluting of the Blaser R8 interchangeable barrel significantly increases the surface area of the barrel. As a result, the barrel can dissipate the heat generated during high shot sequences much better, preventing the annoying mirage above the barrel. Particularly, the elegant aesthetics of the fluted barrel impress, as it visually integrates well into the overall appearance of fine Blaser hunting rifles.

The barrel profile of the Blaser R8 Semi-Weight fluted interchangeable barrel measures 19 mm at the muzzle. The wide selection of calibers leaves nothing to be desired. Blaser distinguishes between different caliber groups: Mini, Standard, Medium, and Magnum. The reason for the classification of the barrels is the modular Blaser principle. The Blaser R8 systems and stocks can be individually combined with various barrel types in different calibers. Only when changing the caliber group is it necessary to additionally swap the bolt head on the bolt.

The fluted Blaser R8 barrels in the Semi-Weight barrel profile are available in different barrel lengths depending on the calibers: 52, 58 cm, 65 cm. Additionally, the barrels are manufactured with and without barrel threads M 17x1 (optionally M 15x1). There is also the choice of whether the barrel is delivered with or without sights.

For maximum durability and maximum corrosion protection: The DLC A+ coating on the barrel surface offers a high degree of hardness, extreme corrosion resistance, and ensures low maintenance. At the same time, it gives the barrel its noble, satin matte, and deep black appearance.
