Desired by sports shooters and hunters, it is the most popular over-and-under shotgun from Beretta with over 3 million units sold. Weighing approximately 3.6 KG in caliber 12/76, the shotgun with the characteristically low receiver not only looks good on the shooting range. This is not only due to its Italian elegance but also to its superior mechanical reliability.

Barrel and Chokes
The newly developed Silver Pigeon 1 Sporting is equipped with Stee-lium Optima-Bore HP barrels. The cold-hammered barrels made from triple-alloyed Beretta steel feature a highly precise deep drilling and vacuum finishing. The special Optima-Bore HP barrel geometry with an 80 mm transition cone is designed for optimal gas pressure behavior for both steel and lead shot. The coverage of the shot patterns is very uniform and of high density. 5 included OCHP chokes allow fine-tuning for all hunting distances as well as adaptation to various hunting and sporting shot templates.

Receiver, Trigger, and Locking Mechanism
The floral laser engravings and the raised Beretta logo on the receiver visually elevate the hunting shotgun to the premium class. Another elegant detail is the gold-colored trigger. On the safety slide, there is a switch that determines the selection of the barrel for the first shot with a lateral movement. Decades of experience from the Italian gunsmiths are evident in the extremely stable and reliable side-lock mechanism of the over-and-under shotgun, as well as in the Beretta-typical trapezoidal shoulder pieces and the conical double locking bolts. The extremely reliable and robust ejector system is the proven system of the 680 series, which has recorded more than three million units sold for over 30 years.

Stock
The Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 Sporting features a stock made of oiled walnut wood. The forend with a schnabel and the pistol grip are equipped with fine checkering. This ensures a high grip even in wet conditions. The Microcore® stock pads allow for individual adjustment of the stock length. The length of the buttstock is 37.2 mm including the supplied 18 mm stock pad. Stock pads with 13 mm, 23 mm, and 28 mm are available as options. This allows the stock length to be adjusted from 36.7 to 38.2 mm. Additionally, the pads dampen recoil and provide a pleasant shooting behavior. All Sporting models are equipped with a ventilated 10 mm sight rail that tapers to 8 mm, as well as a plastic front sight.
