In its basic version with this walnut wood stock of class 3 and the system housing with a matte black finish, the straight-pull repeater R8 is a straightforward hunting rifle that one can rely on in any situation. The buttstock with the straight back is ergonomically well-proportioned and ends with a rubber butt pad that noticeably reduces recoil. The black ebony cap adds an elegant accent, and the checkered texture of the grip surfaces feels pleasantly tactile in the hands.

The system housing with the gold-colored R8 logo and the finely grained walnut wood visually form a unit. The system is safe to handle with its manual safety that relaxes the firing spring. The trigger is crisp and releases at 750 g without delay.
