The 687 Silver Pigeon 3 with a slim receiver is an elegant evolution of the Silver Pigeon 1, characterized by the proven side lock, double locking bolts, and trapezoidal shoulder pieces. The stock, receiver, barrels, and forend are perfectly coordinated, ensuring pleasant handling and a perfectly balanced swing behavior. The Silver Pigeon III in left-handed configuration is equipped with a left-angled stock and a pistol grip with a handball shape for left-handed shooters.

Receiver and Lock
The over-and-under shotgun is adorned with the finest floral engravings and two depictions of game birds. The receiver is effectively protected against weather influences by the special Beretta nickel-based treatment, ensuring that the engravings retain their contrasting shine. Decades of experience from the Italian gunmaker are evident in the extremely stable and reliable side lock of the shotgun, as well as in the Beretta-typical trapezoidal shoulder pieces and the conical double locking bolts. The extremely reliable and robust ejector system is the proven system of the 680 series, which has been successful for over 30 years, with more than 3 million shotguns sold to date.

Barrel and Sight
The triple-alloyed Steelium Optima-Bore HP barrels from Beretta are characterized by extremely precise deep drilling, cold hammering, and vacuum refinement, offering excellent ballistics. The barrel geometry with an 80 mm transition cone is specifically designed for optimal gas pressure flow, resulting in high density and uniform distribution of shot while significantly reducing felt recoil. The hunting models also feature a 6 mm wide sight rail, allowing for extremely precise target acquisition both on the shooting range and during hunting, while ensuring minimal target coverage.

Stock
The unique grain of the selected walnut stock woods is highlighted by a silky gloss finish, which also provides optimal protection against moisture and rain. Additionally, the finely cut checkering on the forend and pistol grip ensures a special grip and safety. The selector is integrated into the safety slide on the stock neck. By moving the slide sideways, the barrel for the first shot can be determined. Even during larger shooting series, the Microcore® stock cap ensures lasting shooting comfort, stability, and safety when shouldering.
