The Silver Pigeon 1 hunting shotgun is the most popular over-and-under shotgun from Beretta, with over three million units sold.
Equally sought after by sport shooters and hunters, it is also frequently found at shooting ranges. Characteristic of the elegant shotgun is its low and slim receiver. It also boasts outstanding mechanical reliability.

Barrel, Choke, and Sight
The newly developed Silver Pigeon 1 hunting shotgun is equipped with triple-alloy Beretta Steelium Optima Bore HP barrels, which are distinguished by high-precision deep drilling, cold hammering, and vacuum finishing. The special Optim-Bore-HP barrel geometry with an 80 mm transition cone is designed for optimal gas pressure behavior for both steel and lead shot. The coverage of the shot patterns is very uniform and of high density. Five included OCHP chokes allow for fine-tuning for all hunting distances as well as adaptation to various hunting and sporting shot templates. All hunting models are equipped with a ventilated 6 mm sight rail with a nickel-silver bead, allowing for precise target acquisition while minimizing coverage of the game body.

Receiver and Locking Mechanism
The floral laser engravings and the raised Beretta logo on the receiver visually elevate the hunting shotgun to the top class. Another elegant detail is the gold-colored single trigger. On the safety slide, there is a switch that determines the selection of the barrel for the first shot with a lateral movement. Also noteworthy are the stable side lock and the extremely robust ejector system, which has reliably served in the 680 models for over 30 years.

Stock
The Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 hunting shotgun features a stock made of oiled walnut wood. Both the forend with a schnabel and the pistol grip are equipped with fine checkering. This ensures a high grip even in wet conditions. The Microcore® stock pads allow for individual adjustment of the stock length. The length of the buttstock is 368 mm, including the supplied 15 mm stock pad. Stock pads of 10 mm, 20 mm, and 25 mm are available as options. This allows the stock length to be adjusted from 363 to 378 mm. Additionally, the pads dampen recoil and provide a pleasant shooting experience.
