The adapter adjusts the standard M18x1 thread, which all Hausken silencers are equipped with, to the respective thread type.
It should be noted that the Hausken thread adapters are exclusively suitable for Hausken silencers. Furthermore, once the adapter is screwed into the silencer, it cannot be removed to screw on a different adapter for use with another weapon. The installation is therefore irreversible and a thread change is no longer possible.
