The thermal imaging camera features the latest VOx detector, which has a resolution of 384 x 288 pixels with a 12 µm pixel pitch. The sensitivity of the detector captures temperature differences from ≤ 20 mK (NETD) and is therefore significantly more sensitive than many detectors of other devices. The thermal image is displayed on a high-resolution OLED display (1024 x 768 pixels). The FALCON features a newly developed image processing algorithm - Image Pro - which provides optimal digital image optimization depending on the observation purpose.
